Hollywood film remakes/re-releases in 2012

This is just a small selection of Hollywood films set for release in 2012 that are remakes or re-releases of an earlier film. In 2011, all of the top 10 grossing films for the year were either remakes or franchised sequels. So far in 2012, eight of the top 10 grossing films are remakes or sequels, leaving only Brave and The Hunger Games on the list, although The Hunger Games was a successful book franchise before being a film.

It’s a bit sad really…
